Seems to occur after a Windows 10 update. The solution that works for me is just to go into Windows default programs and reset Eudora as the default email program. It will already show Eudora as the default; I set it to something else and then re-set it to Eudora. Sometimes I have re-booted Windows in the meantime, but I'm not sure that is really necessary. I've never noticed the race condition that Piet mentioned. Nor do I have any problems with Server certificates.

I don't know which, if any, of those actions fixed it, but it now works again! When it didn't work, nothing happened.
